Aerification has been successfuly completed. Despite the off and on nature of the weather we were able to complete the sanding and dragging of all the greens, tees and fairways last week. We should be fully healed and back to normal within a week or so. Thanks to the crew for putting in all the extra work the last two weeks during this process. They were here dawn to dusk most days.
NEW TEE UPDATE
We put in the path to the new tee box on #9. Basically we are expanding the black tee box on #4 to incorporate what will become the white on #9. The work on the expansion should continue this week.
#12 is the next target. We have skinned the area where the tee will go. It will play about 210 yards from the new tee.
On #10 there was some major drainage work completed to the right of the fairway. We are also working on a new tee for #10. Hopefully we will have all the new tees ready for play by June. Look for information coming out about ladies, juniors, family and beginner programs that will take advantage of the work we've done. We hope it is a big hit.
Next week we hope to post pictures of the tees after they have been topped with sod.
Thanks for checking back for updates.

We tried something new this year for aerification. We have closed nine holes Monday - Friday to allow the staff to complete aerification of greens, tees, and fairways properly getting everything sanded and drug in. So far it has gone very well despite a few weather interruptions. We appreciate everyone's patience with this process as it will allow us to keep the course in great condition throughout the year. The more sand we can get down and drug in, the better (firmer) the playing conditions will be during wet periods.
This week we closed the front nine, and will open it back up on Saturday. On Monday, April 30th, we will close the back nine, re-opening it on Saturday the 5th. During the closure on the front nine this week we were able to accomplish a couple extra projects.
First, we installed a retaining wall along the path going to the 6th green. The hill has started to erode and was covering about two fee of the path. Here is a photo of the work done by TDP Landscaping. Thanks to Terry Paskett and his crew.
Second, to help those players that have a difficult time carrying the ball a distance we are working on building forward tees that take the ravines out of play for most of the course. When we are finished on the front nine there will only be one shot that requires any kind of forced carry. Here are some of the photos of the work.

We are also working on new tees on #1 and #5. We should have all the new tees built, sodded and ready for play by sometime in June. These will make the course much more beginner friendly and allow you to enjoy the day with your kids, wives, or other golfers new to the game.
Thanks to The Saunders Company Construction and Derek Daniels for their hard work.
